the perfect snack

for as long as i can remember, i have had a love affair with garlic. i even put the stuff on my hot dogs... that probably best sums up my obsession. but last night, i became a vampire's worst nightmare and ensured that i will have bad breath for a week.

i was feeling creative (with a pantry full of random things) and decided to make garlic hummus. there was just a touch too much garlic, so this recipe is modified for normal human beings' consumption. truly a perfect snack, so healthy and easy!

garlic hummus

1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
1 small clove of garlic
extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. tahini paste (ground sesame seeds)
1 tbsp. kosher salt
dash of paprika

combine the drained garbanzo beans, half of the garlic, and 1/4 cup of the olive oil in a food processor. next add the tahini, salt, paprika and more of the garlic if desired, and then combine. depending on how thick you want it, add more of the evoo to loosen the hummus mixture. enjoy with crackers or veggies!
